AMOLIH FINE JEWELLERY

Find Your Ring Size

Three honest ways to measure at home — and one promise: every AMOLIH ring includes one complimentary resize within the first twelve months.

Three honest ways to measure

Choose the method that suits what you have at home. Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their fullest.

Method A — Paper Strip

The most accessible — works with what you have.

01 Cut a strip Cut a thin strip of paper, roughly 10 cm long and 5 mm wide. Printer paper works.
02 Wrap Wrap snugly around the base of the finger you will wear the ring on. Comfortable, not tight.
03 Mark Mark where the paper overlaps with a pen.
04 Measure Lay the strip flat on a ruler. Read the marked length in millimetres — this is your finger circumference.

Method B — Match an Existing Ring

Most accurate when you have a ring that already fits well — and discreet for surprise gifts.

01 Find a ring that fits Choose a ring that fits comfortably on the same finger you intend to wear the new piece on.
02 Measure inside diameter Use a ruler to measure the inside diameter — edge to edge across the inside of the ring — in millimetres.
03 Match it to the chart Open the Size Chart tab. Find your diameter in the chart to read your size.

On-screen reference

Method C — Printed Ring Sizer

The most reliable method when you are between two sizes.

01 Download Download the AMOLIH printable sizer below.
02 Print at 100% Choose Actual Size or Scale 100% — never Fit to Page. Verify with a credit card on the calibration box.
03 Cut & wrap Cut along the marked line, wrap around your finger, and read the size from the indicator slot.
04 Or use the circles Hold an existing ring over the printed circles. Match the inside edge of the ring to a circle.

A note on timing

Fingers swell over the day and in warm weather. The reliable window is late afternoon to evening, in a comfortable room. Measure 3–4 times across the week and use the most-frequent reading.

Buying as a surprise

Borrow a ring she or he already wears on the intended finger. Trace the inside on paper.

Sizing tips that prevent regrets

Between two sizes Choose the larger. Easier to resize down than up; comfort matters more than precision.
Wide bands (over 6 mm) Go up by half to a full size. Wide bands occupy more of the finger and feel tighter than slim ones.
Knuckle wider than finger base Measure both. Pick a size between — the ring should pass over the knuckle without forcing, then sit comfortably at the base.
Buying as a surprise Borrow a ring she or he already wears on the intended finger. Don't ask family — they are often wrong.
Stack rings Each ring in a stack adds friction. If you wear three or more, go up a quarter to half size on rings worn furthest from the knuckle.
Between seasons Indian summer or US winter heating can shift size by half. Measure in the season you will wear the ring most.

Frequently asked

Quick answers to the questions we hear most often.

What if I'm between two sizes?

Always go larger. The complimentary resize handles the rest if the ring is too loose.

Can all rings be resized?

Most can, by ±1 to 2 sizes. Eternity rings, channel-set bands, and tension settings cannot — these are made to your exact size and shown clearly on the product page.

My ring arrived and the size is wrong. What do I do?

Reply to your order confirmation email. We will arrange the complimentary resize and prepaid return shipping (UK / US / CA) or pickup (India).

How long does a resize take?

10 to 14 working days from when we receive the ring at the workshop.

Can I return a ring instead of resizing?

Yes, within the standard return window — see our Returns Policy. We would rather resize, because it preserves your piece.

What is the most popular Indian size?

Indian sizes 13 to 17 cover roughly 80% of women's ring orders in India.

What about men's rings?

Same chart, larger sizes — typically Indian 18 to 24 / US 8 to 12. Wide bands are common for men, so size up by half.

Will my ring change size over time?

Slightly. Fingers can change with weight, age, climate, and time of day. Most customers never need a second resize.
